Inside Clean scan, we recommend using the Delete tool to flatten the proximal edge before going into workflow. Occasionally, the mesh has an irregular or messy edge when this occurs. As a result, the model can disappear in couple places. Here are some videos of the problem and a solution:

To fix the irregular proximal edge:

From Clean scan --> Create New Design --> Flatten --> Flatten Interactive

Next Save --> Exit --> Go back into Workflow
